Auction Rules
All sellers and bidders must register as patrons of the site,
and provide contact information to ensure that sales transactions
can be completed. Registered patrons can log in using their unique
username and password. Unregistered visitors can browse all items
on the site, but can not place bids or list their own for-sale items.
Registered patrons can submit their for-sale items using our easy
item submission page. The site administrator
then verifies that the item meets the site's posting criteria, and
activates the item on the site. The item will remain on the site
for 7 days.
Selling an item is easy and inexpensive - you decide what is the
lowest bid you will accept for your item; if it sells, you pay a
percentage of the final price along with any optional service fees
as a cost for posting it on the site. See pricing
details here. Please note that the seller is obligated to sell
the item to the highest bidder as long as the bid is equal to or
greater than the Reserve the seller specified! The seller may LOWER
the Reserve at any time, but may never RAISE it. A seller is not
allowed to bid on his own items.
Registered patrons can submit their bids using our easy bid submission
page. Simply specify the maximum price you are willing to pay for
the item, and we will automatically do your bidding for you in $1,
$10 or $100 increments up to the maximum you specified. (Bidding
increment is $1 for items with a Reserve less than $200, $10 for
items with a Reserve between $201 and $2000, and $100 for items
with a Reserve over $2000.) If the seller has specified a Reserve,
and your maximum bid is the first to meet or exceed the Reserve,
your starting bid will be the Reserve amount.
At the conclusion of the 7-day bidding period and after the Final
Value Fee payment, the name, phone number and email address of the
winning bidder are emailed to the seller, and the name, phone number
and email address of the seller are emailed to the winning bidder.
The Temple Daily Telegram is not responsible for the final transaction
beyond this exchange of contact information! The Temple Daily Telegram
provides no warranties or guarantees of any kind to either the seller
or the buyer. In the event a seller or bidder breaks any rule, the
Temple Daily Telegram reserves the right to refuse that seller or
bidder from participating in future auctions.
