 Seller's
Guide
The following will take you step-by-step through the process of
listing and selling your item(s) on TDTebid.com.
1) Register with the site
In order to place items on the site, you must be a registered patron.
Visit the registration page to become
a patron. You will be sent a confirmation email once the form is
completed.
2) Create a listing
The first step after registration is preparing your item(s) for
posting on the site. You can visit your Preview
Area within the My eBid pages to start
posting items. You will be asked to provide some information about
each item. All item postings are completely free. If you decide
to include Optional Services to enhance your listings, those fees
will be added to the Final Value fee at the end of the auction.
After you have created your item(s) they will appear in your preview
area until you are ready to submit them into the auction. You can
post as many items at a time as you like.
3) Post your listing
When you are ready to submit your item(s) to the online auction,
visit your Preview Area and click on the
Check Out Now button. If you chose to put a Classified ad in the
paper, you will see the total amount you owe to post the items.
Otherwise, the items will be submitted to the auction administrator
for review and then shown on the site.
4) Manage your auction
Each item will have a life span of 7 days on the site for patrons
to bid on it. During this time your item(s) will show up on your
My eBid pages under "Site Activity".
You will be able to view bidding activity as well as other information
about each item while it is live on the site. You are also able
to edit certain pieces of information about your items by clicking
on the name.
5) End of auction
Once the 7 days has ended a number of things may happen. If your
item did not have any bids meeting your initial reserve amount,
then you will be sent an email informing you of the status. If
your item did have a winning bidder, you will be sent an email
containing instructions on making your Final Value payment. After
you have made your payment both the buyer and seller will receive
each others contact information to complete the item transaction.
The Temple Daily Telegram is only liable for this exchange of
information.
6) Make payments
There are only two types of payments you make make while using
the site. The first is a Print fee charged when you would like
to include your items in the Temple Daily Telegram newsaper. This
payment must be made prior to posting the items on the site as
an up-front fee and are non-refundable. The second type of payment
is the Final Value Fee, charged if an item has resulted in a winning
bid after 7 days. This fee is calculated by taking a percentage
of the winning bid plus any optional services you chose to run
with each sold item. You will be prompted to make this payment
after your auction has ended and before you receive the sellers
contact information.
7) Leave Feedback
Once the final transaction has taken place, we encourage you to
leave feedback about your experience with the seller. To do this
visit you My eBid page and leave your response for that item.
