 What
is TDT eBid?
TDT eBid is an online auction Web site (www.tdtebid.com)
run by the Temple Daily Telegram in Temple, Texas. It allows registered
patrons to post old or new items, with detailed information and
photographs, and sell them to the highest bidder.
It works very much like eBay, but is designed primarily for local
buyers and sellers making auctions more personal, profitable and
successful. Since most items on the site are offered by local patrons,
actually receiving your purchased items takes considerably less
time than any other auction site. Patrons have the option to either
ship the item by mail or have it picked-up directly in the area.
Visitors are able to browse the site without registering. However,
bidding on items requires an eBid account. Registration takes less
than a minute, is completely free and without obligation! Bidding
on items costs nothing more than the amount you bid.
Selling is also very simple, and costs just a few dollars if an
item is sold. Auctions last for a maximum of 7 days giving hundreds
of people who visit the site daily a chance to bid. At the end of
that time the seller and winning bidder are both notified to make
the exchange. If you don't sell your item, you are not charged a
fee and you are free to re-post it as many times as you like.
